Purposefully Not for Everyone
The past few weeks have been an incredible test for all of us as leaders, as parents, as humans and as, last but not least, as citizens of the United States of America. Do we stay silent? Do we say something? Or do we withdrawal and stand by?
Many say politics shouldn’t play a hand in a professional setting, but how can it not when so much of it stands to threaten our businesses and our very way of life?
After collecting ourselves from the news whiplash of last week (the Nazi salutes, the federal DEI worker furlough, and, perhaps the worst of all – withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement), we decided to say something out loud.
Because, as Dr. Martin Luther King said, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
Good Now: Purposefully Not for Everyone
At Good Now, we believe in using our expertise to uplift brands, organizations, and leaders who are committed to creating a better, more equitable world, in which all of us can flourish without sacrificing others, or our planet.
As such, we will not be accepting clients who:
Support fascism or authoritarian ideologies.upport fascism or authoritarian ideologies.
Deny the reality of climate change.
Oppose social justice reforms or undermine efforts toward equality and inclusion.
This isn't a left or right thing – it's a doing what's right thing. By aligning ourselves purposefully with individuals and organizations who share our values, we believe our work will then contribute to a brighter future.
We can all do better by doing good, now.
