If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re definitely one of the last. Ello is still making a play to absorb Facebook’s fleeing members. Most recently, they have announced the launch of a mobile app by the end of May.

Where it all begins, presuming you are an old nerd, otherwise a friend would have sent you the link, you would have read about it on a social network (like Facebook), or, you clicked on a link referring you there from a content portal.

Clear, undeniable call to action – Enter Your Email. But there are about one hundred amazing little pictures begging to be clicked.

Last Fall, Vox reported 31,000 people joining Ello per hour – all loving the promise of an ad-free experience. And there are still reports claiming 250,000 new users per week for Ello. Also, the social network’s first mobile application is slated to go live at the end of May 2015.

On the flip side, other reports say only 20% of registrants are sticking around.

What are your bets? Will it work? Would you join Ello? Have you?
